More than 1200 York College students were recognized for their academic achievement by earning a place on the Dean's List for the Spring 2025 semester.

York College of Pennsylvania proudly awarded degrees to more than 500 students in May 2025. During the ceremony, graduates earned associate, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees.

Speakers included York businessman Dave Meckley and Class of 2024 President JaNya Brown. During the ceremony, more than 500 graduates-earning associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees-were recognized.

JaNya Brown, a Forensic Chemistry major from Severn, MD, and president of York College of Pennsylvania Class of 2024, served as the student speaker during May 11 Commencement Exercises.

Lee Krauss, a May 2024 graduate and the 2023-24 Carraway Scholar at York College, won first place in the Mary Jane's Diamond Award for poetry and the Carraway Writing Award for poetry. They plan to begin George Mason University's MFA program in poetry this fall.

Kylee Preston won the student award and was selected to have her art hung in Schmidt Library.

Ethan Glass was inducted into SALUTE, the Veterans National Honor Society, at York College of Pennsylvania.

Alysen Donahue, BSN, RN a December 2023 York College graduate, earned The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Students from The DAISY Foundation.

Devon Tolbert, a December 2023 graduate and Cybersecurity Management major, was awarded First Place in the Undergraduate Poster Presentation at the Northeast Decision Sciences Institute 2024 Conference in Cambridge, Mass.

Nearly 1400 York College students were recognized for their academic achievement by earning a place on the Dean's List for the Fall 2023 semester.

A York College student was recognized for serving as an official at the 2023 NIRSA National Flag Football Championships, held this year at Oklahoma State University. NIRSA is a nonprofit membership association that provides resources and education for advancing campus recreation.

Several York College of Pennsylvania Cybersecurity Management seniors took the mic to participate in a recent ivoox blog, hosted by Tamara Schwartz, Assistant Professor, Cybersecurity & Business Administration, and discuss their research and how it impacted their professional development as they head into their final semester and look for their first job.

President Thomas Burns offered his first York College commencement address on Dec. 13 as more than 200 students received their diplomas.

December graduate Julisa Batista of Conestoga, Pa., is finishing her time at York College with a busy schedule: 21 credits and a part-time internship with Penske Transportation Solution. Her hard work is paying off, though, as a full-time position with Penske awaits her after graduation on December 13.

Senior Cybersecurity Management major Natilie Mccallick (Front Royal, VA) presented her senior thesis on the cybersecurity project management tradeoffs in the Waterfall and Agile software development methods at the December meeting of the Keystone Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI) held at York College.

Jay Hynes, a Political science major from Marietta, Pa., will deliver the student address at York College's Dec. 13, 2023 ceremony.

Michael Daiuto, a graduating Philosophy major and Music minor from Shrewsbury, has been selected to sing the alma mater during the Dec. 13, 2023 commencement ceremony.

York College of Pennsylvania's League of Legends esports team recently won the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) Challengers National Championship.

More than 1,300 students were named to the Spring 2023 Dean's List at York College of Pennsylvania. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Retiring President Pamela Gunter-Smith delivered her final commencement remarks to York College's Class of 2023 on May 13. Nearly 700 graduates - earning associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees - were recognized during the ceremony.
