York College Students To Be Inducted Into Sport Management Honor Society

Four York College students will be inducted into the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA) Chi Sigma Mu Honor Society at the organization's 2023 conference in February in Tampa, Fla.

York College of Pennsylvania's Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education, inducts inaugural class

The Society inducts only those individuals who have exhibited the ideals of scholarship, integrity in service, and commitment to excellence in teaching. Selection as a member of Kappa Delta Pi is based on high academic achievement, a commitment to education as a career, and a professional attitude that assures steady growth in the profession. At York College of Pennsylvania, members must earn Pre-Professional Education Status (PPES) and have an overall GPA of a 3.5.

More than 50 students were recently named to York College's Senior Honor Society. Membership in this society is limited to the five percent of the senior class members who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or better and who have demonstrated "continuing leadership and involvement in extra-curricular and/or community activities during his/her years at York College."

Students Named to Alpha Sigma Lambda

Students are annually named to Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society, the National Honor Society for Adult Learners. All are matriculated, part-time students in attendance for a minimum of four semesters, with a minimum of 60 credit hours completed, and a 3.5 or above grade point average.

Local students inducted into National College Honor Society at York College of PA

The following local students enrolled at York College of Pennsylvania were recently inducted into Alpha Chi, the National College Honor Society whose purpose is to promote academic excellence and exemplary character among college and university students and to honor those achieving such distinction. At York, only the top five percent of the junior class and the top 10 percent of the senior class are admitted to membership.
